WASHINGTON, Oct. 31, 2023 /Christian Newswire/ -- Human rights activists plan to hold protest outside of the Iranian Interests Section in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, November 1, at 12:00 PM.  The location is: 1250 23rd St NW, Washington, DC 20037.

The group will be calling for Iran to stop supporting and promoting Hamas and other terrorist groups around the world and for the Biden Administration to be much more aggressive in dealing with Iran’s involvement with terrorism.

Iran is the largest state sponsor of terrorism in the world.

The activists will lay red fabric around the Iranian Interests Section to symbolize the lives lost on the October 7 attack and to remind the world Iran’s hands are covered in blood through their support of Hamas. The group will also display photos of innocent Jewish people who were slaughtered during the massacre.

Rev. Patrick Mahoney, Director of the Christian Defense Coalition and longtime Iranian human rights activist, comments;

“On October 7, the world witnessed unspeakable barbarism and brutality when Hamas attacked the nation of Israel. This massacre resulted in the largest number of Jews killed in one day since the Holocaust.

“Through the funding of Hamas, Iran also bears direct responsibility for these acts of  horrific violence which included: raping and beating women, cutting heads off babies, slaughtering entire families in their homes, burning alive and torturing innocent people, and taking over 200 hostages.

“The Biden Administration cannot be silent and passive on this carnage and must hold Iran publicly accountable. Some clear steps that must be taken are ensuring Iran cannot access the 6 billion dollars that was part of a prisoner exchange, issue and enforce crippling sanctions against the Iranian economy, shutting down Iran’s oil exports, and refuse to let any Iranian diplomats into the United States.

“Dr. Martin Luther King said, ‘There comes a time when silence is betrayal.’ If the Biden Administration remains silent and passive on the issue of Iran’s support of terrorism, then our nation is betraying the people of Israel, Gaza and America’s core principles of human rights and justice.
