WASHINGTON, Dec. 7 /Christian Newswire/ -- The Christian Defense Coalition and Faith and Action will lead prayer outside the office of Senator Ben Nelson asking God to intervene and protect human rights and affirm the dignity of life.

The prayer gathering will be carried live across the nation via Twitter and the internet.

The prayer will take place on Monday, December 7 at 4:30 P.M.

A news conference will also take place on Monday, December 7, at 4:00 P.M. in front of the Hart Senate office building on Constitution Ave. NE. to discuss taxpayer funded abortion in the healthcare bill.

The Christian Defense Coalition and Faith and Action are calling for the faith and pro-life community across the nation to begin fasting and prayer while the Nelson Amendment is being debated this week.
