Christianity Today & Logos Bible Software to Digitize CT Archives

Contact: Leanne Snavely, Christianity Today, 630-260-6200 ext 7214, lsnavely@christianitytoday.com

CAROL STREAM, Ill., April 6, 2018 /Christian Newswire/ -- Christianity Today is pleased to announce a new partnership with Faithlife and Logos Bible Software.

This partnership will make all of CT's historic magazine archives accessible in digital format, including over 830 previously unscanned issues dating back to 1956.

Expected to release this Fall, the archives will be available in a robust, searchable format on the Logos Bible Software platform as well as to CT subscribers on ChristianityToday.com.

This 1000+ issue collection features some of the world's greatest thinkers, unexpected voices, and well-known Christian theologians before they became household names. Contributors include Elisabeth Elliot, Francis Schaeffer, N.T. Wright, Dallas Willard, Chuck Colson, Charles Ryrie, C.S. Lewis, Madeleine L'Engle, James Montgomery Boice, A.W. Tozer, G.C. Berkhouwer, and many notable others.

When asked about the significance of this partnership, Ted Olsen, CT's editorial director, remarked:

"There is gold in these volumes that, until now, have been sitting on shelves and difficult to find. Of course as editorial director I'm eager to get some of CT's best, most insightful, and most prescient work out there in a format that's easier to access and more convenient to read. But simply as a Christian walking in the footsteps of elders and giants before me, I'm eager simply to learn more from them."

In addition to the breadth and depth of content, much of the Christianity Today archives are as applicable today as when originally published. Olsen goes on to say,

"There's F.F. Bruce on Easter, John Stott on biblical evangelism, Kenneth Scott Latourette and Mark Noll reflecting on what the church can learn from history, Harold John Ockenga on what evangelical leadership should look like ... and so many others. I'm eager to see what articles I don't even know about yet."

Bob Pritchett, CEO at Faithlife, adds:

"Christianity Today is at the center of American Evangelical history. With Logos Bible Software, the Christianity Today archive will be a must-have for research—whether you are an historian, theologian, or lay person.
