A New Way for the Faith Based Market to Fund
Causes and Creative Projects: Faithfunder.com...Fund Your Dreams

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 18, 2012 /Christian
Newswire/ -- Faithfunder.com, a new
funding web site tailored to the meet the needs of the Christian market launched
its site. Faithfunder.com offers a secure online community that encourages
collaboration allowing individuals or groups to post projects and raise funding.
Projects include everything from creative endeavors and missions trips to noble
causes and entrepreneurial ventures. Funders peruse projects and can donate
after viewing the video "pitch" and selecting a "spiff". The spiffs are small
tokens of appreciation that might include anything from a credit on a movie to a
signed original piece of artwork. Project categories that users can choose from
include animation, film, culinary, dance, church related, causes, fashion,
missions, music, technology and others.
Faithfunder is not an investment site and project owners retain 100% ownership
in their projects. "The faith based market has always been one of the most
generous segments of society, traditionally believing in the power of the tithe
and ascribing to the laws of sowing and reaping," said Lisa Butkiewicz, founder
of Faithfunder.com. "This is a way for individuals from around the globe to
support the ventures of like-minded individuals. It's a fun way to give and to
receive and to be involved in creative projects and amazing causes." Members can
follow the progress of any project through blogs and updates.
The faith-based community is encouraged to sign onto the site and post their
projects. There is no cap on the amount that can be raised. It can be $500 for a
missions trip or $50,000 plus for a film project. Project owners are encouraged
to build a fan base and gain support through churches, local communities and
social networking sites.
Faithfunder is a non-profit 501-c3 organization that allows donors to select
from a variety of charities to earmark a portion of their donation to support
other ministries such as Teen Challenge and the Los Angeles Dream Center.
