Christian Counseling Degrees Come with its Own Ordination

Contact: Dr. Jack Nelson, Luder Wycliffe Theological Seminary, 607-754-0133

ENDICOTT, N.Y., Feb. 23, 2018 /Christian Newswire/ -- Luder Wycliffe Theological Seminary (LWTS) is known for its world class innovations. Already being the only Graduate School in the world to offer degrees in eschatology, it is now granting Bachelor, Master and Doctoral Degrees in Christian Counseling with a twist. Now the graduate can automatically obtain his or her ministerial ordination along with the degree.

The Christian Counseling degree programs at LWTS are at the top echelon of academic excellence. LWTS does not offer "certification" or "License" since it is not always needed within the Christian realm of counseling in that the Church does not require it, and the State has no control over such practices within the church setting. What LWTS does offer however is something that is far more practical, which is Ordination. As an ordained minister, one is qualified by both Church and State to administer Biblical Counseling. This ordination is for counseling and proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which is of course the job of the Christian Counselor.

LWTS has two adjoining ministerial organizations called the Oxford Ministerial Alliance and Harvest Time Ministerial Fellowship, Inc. From these two organizations they have assembled an ordination and accountability board which will administer the required review and issuance of the ordination certificates. The ordination cost is included within the degree program tuition.

With this new innovation, the counseling student can come away from the seminary ready to administer his or her discipline to a needy world, without having to jump through impossible hoops from their local church to obtain ordination for their line of work. This has been a long time coming and is certainly a much needed move from the seminary institution.
