Kink and Bondage Promoter Recommended to Choose Curriculum in the Fifth Largest School District in the Nation

LAS VEGAS, Nov. 17, 2021 /Christian Newswire/ -- Clark County School District, the fifth largest school district in the country, is recommending the reappointment of a controversial sexologist to sit on the committee that chooses sex education curriculum for its K-12 students.

Dr. Deitsch, who also calls herself Dr. Shameless, describes her work with these words: "I also go out into the community to provide education, training, workshops, really fun stuff, for people in the kink community, the BDSM community, the LGBTQ community, and all over town." The town she refers to here is none other than Las Vegas, Nevada.

Dr. Shameless is the resident "sexologist" for Vibrant, a company that produces sex toys and other paraphernalia often used in violent, demeaning and controlling sex acts. She is a proponent of both kink and BDSM, sexual practices that can include such things as bondage, dominance, masochism, fetishes, polyamory and voyeurism.

"Clark County is clearly pushing a radical sex ed agenda by recommending this sexologist for a position on the committee that is responsible for choosing curriculum regarding the sexual health of our children," said Karen England, Executive Director of Capitol Resource Institute and Nevada Family Alliance. It is inconceivable to think that Dr. Shameless should have any influence in making this decision for the Clark County K-12 school System.

Current Nevada law states that school districts must provide instruction on acquired immune deficiency syndrome, human reproductive system, related communicable diseases and sexual responsibility. (NRS 389.065) The law mandates the formation of a committee comprised of five parents, one teacher, a representative of the religious community, and a counselor. The committee is tasked with will reviewing and recommending new sexual education curriculum.

This woman has been referred to as "Planned Parenthood's sex toy e-tailer," and in her twisted view "conquering shame" means that no sexual activity is off limits. In one article about sexual norms in our culture, Dr. Shameless recommends beginning a "masturbation practice." More specifically, she offers this: "Imagine Ryan Gosling on top of you...Watch a little adult film to get some ideas but look for porn directed by women that isn't so male-focused."

"The truth is, there is a myriad of examples of Dr. Deitsch's appalling beliefs, but her crude and vulgar understanding of human sexuality makes it abundantly clear that we cannot trust her judgment. She must be removed from the committee," said England.

Let's agree with Dr. Shameless on one point. She has stated that "sex education has been a political football for years in the U.S." This is true, and it's time for the parents of Clark County to play offense.
