Leadership in Secular Society

PHOENIX, March 2, 2023 /Christian
Newswire/ -- Tepeyac Leadership, Inc. (TLI) announces The Hour of the
Laity: A Lay Catholic Conference (THL2023), a new platform to develop lay
Catholics for engaging society as civic leaders. This national conference is
programmed for November 2 – 5, 2023 at Christ Cathedral in the Diocese of
Orange. Prospective attendees can learn about THL2023's vision by watching
the 13-minute documentary film, The Hour of the Laity, on YouTube.
As part of Tepeyac Leadership's mission to deliver civic leadership
development to lay Catholics in the U.S. and beyond, the upcoming conference
will equip lay people to take on leadership roles in the secular world
(i.e., board service, philanthropy, public service, etc.). The conference
will become an annual platform to train the next generation of lay Catholic
leaders for the civil society. THL2023 provides lay Catholic leadership
formation, but not for ministry, for the world!
What is unique about The Hour of the Laity?
All the experts, panelists, and keynotes introduced in the conference are
lay people. THL2023 puts in front of attendees only lay Catholic leaders,
who are making an impact today, as examples of authentic lay Catholic
leadership. The national conference will show lay Catholics why and how
their true calling is to be ambassadors of Christ in the world.
Why should lay Catholics attend?
- THL2023 provides an opportunity to learn about the
different areas of human activity which are primed for lay Catholic
leadership in civil society.
- THL2023 initiates attendees in a discernment for the
discovery of the unique leadership role God has prepared for them in
civil society.
- THL2023 shows attendees how to become influential
leaders in their own professional fields, communities, and spheres of
influence (i.e., board service, philanthropy, public service, or civic
engagement).
- THL2023 connects attendees with resources and a large
network of lay Catholic leaders ready to support them while influencing
society with the values of the Gospel.
The weekend event is a new platform to form lay Catholics
for engaging society as civic leaders. Like TLI's flagship program, Tepeyac
Leadership Initiative, THL2023 operates at the intersection of professional
development and spiritual growth.
As part of Tepeyac Leadership's mission to deliver civic leadership
development to lay Catholics in the U.S. and beyond, THL2023 equips lay
people to take on leadership roles in secular society. The conference will
be an annual platform to train the next generation of lay Catholic leaders
for America and the world.
The organizers believe lay Catholics have a unique responsibility and
privileged opportunity to influence the world for Christ. Therefore, it's
their duty as baptized children of God. THL2023 provides the training and
resources necessary to carry out Catholic leadership for civil society.
The early bird registration deadline is May 1, 2023. The conference hashtag
is #THL2023.
